APC Unveils Sub-Committees, Inaugurates Central Coordination Committee for 2026 National Convention

Abuja, FCT — The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the composition of 17 sub-committees to oversee preparations for its 2026 National Convention.

The sub-committees, which will manage key operational areas including elections, security, finance, welfare, accreditation, and logistics, are chaired by senior party figures. Among them are Governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, who will head the Aspirants’ Screening Committee, and Governor Mai Mala Buni, who will chair the Media and Publicity Committee.

The party also inaugurated a 92–98 member Central Coordination Committee to supervise the overall planning and execution of the convention.

APC National Chairman Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda formally inaugurated the committee at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja. The Central Coordination Committee will be chaired by former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari.

Party officials said the committees are expected to ensure a smooth and transparent convention process, in line with the APC’s constitution and internal guidelines.

The 2026 National Convention is anticipated to be a key milestone for the ruling party as it prepares for upcoming political activities and consolidates its internal structures.
