ADC Announces Committees for April 14, 2026 National Convention

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially unveiled the list of members appointed into various committees for its upcoming National Convention scheduled to hold on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Abuja.

According to a special announcement issued by the party’s National Secretariat located at No. 2 Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent, Wuse, Abuja, the committees will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all convention activities.

An inaugural meeting of all committees is slated for Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Central Coordination Committee

The National Convention Central Coordination Committee will serve as the official secretariat for the overall planning body. It is chaired by Senator Binos Yaroe Dauda, with Rt. Hon. Harrison Okonkwo as Deputy Chairman and Hon. Amarachi Kalu as Secretary.

Prominent members include Amb. Nkoyo Toyo, Prof. Osita Ogbu, DIG Muhammad Zaki Gwandu (Rtd), Gen. Ishaya Bauka (Rtd), Prof. Pat Utomi, Senator Ben Obi, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, and H.E. Aminu Abdusalam Gwarzo, among others.

Key Sub-Committees and Leadership

To ensure effective organization, the ADC constituted multiple sub-committees with clearly defined responsibilities:

Venue Sub-Committee

Headed by AVM Suleiman Adamu (Rtd), responsible for venue preparation, logistics, branding, and infrastructure.

Security Sub-Committee

Chaired by Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, tasked with ensuring safety, crowd control, and coordination with security agencies.

Finance Sub-Committee

Led by Rt. Hon. Afam Ogene, with Aisha Yesufu as Deputy Chairman, overseeing fundraising and resource allocation.

Media and Publicity Sub-Committee

Responsible for scheduling and seamless execution of all convention activities.
