The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the African Democratic Congress has formally adopted the minutes of its last meeting, while approving a timetable for the party’s upcoming congresses and national convention.
According to the resolutions, the NEC ratified April 7th to 11th, 2026 for the conduct of party congresses across various levels, setting the stage for internal reorganization and leadership emergence ahead of the national gathering.
The committee further approved April 14th, 2026 as the date for the party’s National Convention, where key decisions regarding leadership structure and party direction are expected to be finalized.
The NEC meeting was chaired by the National Chairman, David Mark, alongside the National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, with members of the National Executive and state chairmen from across the federation in attendance.
The decisions form part of broader efforts by the party leadership to consolidate ongoing reforms, strengthen internal democracy, and position the ADC for greater political engagement nationwide.
Party officials indicated that the resolutions have been duly communicated to the Independent National Electoral Commission in line with statutory requirements.
