The aspirant made the remarks while addressing newsmen shortly after obtaining the Expression of Interest form of the Nigeria Democratic Congress to contest for the Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the persistent infrastructural decay and inadequate representation of the people in the National Assembly contributed significantly to his decision to join the race.

Dr. Nwolisa stated that there was an urgent need for proactive legislation and effective oversight capable of addressing critical issues affecting communities, particularly environmental management and public welfare.

He further assured Nigerians that the NDC remains committed to delivering realistic change, promoting transparency, strengthening democratic institutions, and ensuring good governance across the country.

The aspirant emphasized that if elected, he would prioritize people-oriented policies, constituency development, accountability, and improved legislative engagement aimed at restoring public confidence in governance.

His declaration has continued to attract reactions from party supporters and political observers as preparations intensify for the forthcoming party primaries.
