Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, advised the singer to concentrate on his music career and leave political affairs to politicians. His remarks followed Davido’s involvement in the heated political exchanges surrounding the Osun election.
The lawmaker’s response was widely circulated on social media, with the phrase “Face your music, leave politics” becoming the central message of his reaction.
The exchange comes after Davido publicly supported his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, during the Osun governorship election campaign. The singer was actively involved in the political conversation and used his social media platforms to comment on developments before and after voting.
Adeleke eventually secured re-election, defeating his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The result has triggered reactions from politicians, entertainers and political commentators across the country.
