London, United Kingdom — August 17, 2026. The Village Boys Movement has appointed Issac Fayose as an Ambassador of the organisation as part of its broader mobilisation strategy ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
The appointment was announced by the Village Headmaster, Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke, during the first edition of the Obidient Connect Meet and Greet held in London, United Kingdom. The gathering brought together members, supporters and stakeholders of the Obidient movement in the diaspora.
Fayose, while accepting the appointment, pledged to work with other stakeholders to strengthen the movement’s mobilisation efforts and support the emergence of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi as President of Nigeria in 2027.
He said his priorities would include expanding grassroots engagement, encouraging greater political participation and contributing to efforts aimed at building what he described as a better and more prosperous Nigeria.
The Village Boys Movement said Fayose’s appointment formed part of its wider plan to build a network of credible voices, ambassadors and grassroots mobilisers across Nigeria and among Nigerians in the diaspora.
According to the movement, Fayose’s visibility, experience and commitment to its objectives would strengthen its efforts to engage citizens and galvanise support for its political agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.
Congratulating Fayose, Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke expressed confidence that the new ambassador would bring value to the organisation’s mobilisation activities and help expand its reach among Nigerians at home and abroad.
The Village Boys Movement also reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful, democratic and grassroots-driven political mobilisation, saying it would continue to encourage Nigerians to participate actively in the democratic process.
The organisation said its ultimate objective was to contribute to the emergence of a “New Nigeria”, while urging its supporters to remain united, peaceful and focused as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
The appointment further underscores the growing efforts by political movements and diaspora-based groups to organise and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 presidential contest.
